The Agricultural Engineering education in Bangladesh at Bangladesh Agricultural University is a pioneer Agricultural engineering based eduction since before liberation war. By naming Farm Power and Machinery department it started its journey in 1964 with the aim of  applying modern engineering knowledge to increase agricultural productivity, improve product quality and minimize losses through utilization of machines tools and power sources.From the department sources it has been seen the career opportunities of this departments are widely in various public and private sectors and NGOs of the country.
