The lottery results for admission to government and private secondary schools (at metropolitan and district headquarters levels) for classes 1 to 9 will be held today, Tuesday, December 17. The lottery will take place at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has shared the process for viewing the results following the lottery. In a letter from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), it was stated that the admission process for students from classes 1 to 9 in government and private secondary schools (at metropolitan and district headquarters levels) for the academic year 2025 will be conducted through a digital lottery.
The digital lottery for government and private secondary schools (included in the central digital lottery system) will take place on Tuesday, December 17, at 10:00 AM, at the International Mother Language Institute.
After the digital lottery is completed, the school principals, guardians, or students can download the results using their designated ID and password via the provided link DSHE. Upon receiving the downloaded results, the school principals will send them via email to the president of the respective district and sub-district admission committees, notifying the DSHE accordingly. The DSHE has stated that, for the admission of selected students, admission committees should convene a meeting and follow the proper procedures to facilitate the enrollment process for the students. Earlier, online applications began on November 12, and the submission period ended on November 30 at 5:00 PM. The Ministry of Education had previously announced that for the 2025 academic year, students from classes 1 to 9 must be admitted solely through the digital lottery system, and no other admission method would be allowed. The application fee for this year’s admission process was set at 110 BDT.
