Feroza’s Childhood

Feroza’s Childhood was full of sufferings and sorrows. She never had a moment of happiness in her life . All she remembered from her childhood was the extreme want of food, want of shelter and want of clothing.
In 1972 at the age of 12 she was married to a 24 year old unemployed man. Feroza entered into her husband’s house with the dreams and hope of a young girl but all she saw was more want. It was Feroza who worked for a handful of grains to feed herself, her mother-in-law and her husband. When her first son was born, she was 19. The birth of a child meant another mouth to feed. purpose of reading test in IELTS

There are four skill test in IELTS test.  Reading test is one of them. Why this test is included in IELTS Test- The IELTS Reading test is designed to assess a wide range of reading skills, including how well a examinees-
  • Read for the general sense of a passage
  • Read for the main ideas from the passage
  • Read for detail in a passage
  • Understand inferences and implied meaning from the passage
  • Recognize a writer’s opinions, attitudes and purpose
  • Follow the development of an argument
This is the case for whichever version of the IELTS test one examinees are taking.

MBA test preparations

1. At 12.5% simple rate of interest , in how many years the principal amount will be four times with interest.
Answer: Let the principal amount is Tk. 100
so, principal amount with interest = 100 × 4 = Tk. 400
So, interest = 400-100 = Tk. 300
At 12.5% interest or, 25/2% interest ,
Tk. 25/2 comes from 1 year
       1 comes from   2/25 year
    300 comes from =(2×300)/25 = 24 Years.

2. The monthly salary of a person increased by 10% in one month, but is decreased by 10% in the next month. What is the percentage increase or decrease in his original salary?
Answer: Let, salary of the person is Tk. 100
So, At increase of 10% salary = 100 × (1 × 0.1) = Tk. 110
Again, at a decrease of 10% salary = 110 × (1-0.1) = Tk. 99
So, Decrease in his original salary = (100-99) = Tk. 1
Percentage decrease of his original salary = 1%

3. Give the name of the countries to which the following Airlines?
1. Garuda 2. Lutfthansa 3. Airlanka
Answer: Garuda - Indonesia, Lutfthansa - Germany , Airlanka- Srilanka

Google's Leaders for Bangladesh Chapter of Women Techmakers
Farah Nafiza and Rakhshanda Rukham have selected as google leaders for Bangladesh Chapter of Women Techmakers, Google's global programme and brand for women in Technology.Farah Nafiza is a computer science and Engineering undergrad at BRAC university whereas Rakhshanda Rukham is a final year student of Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering at Hazi Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur. Arif Nezami, Dhaka Manager of Google Developer group said that by creating these new positions, Google's presence in Bangladesh will increase further. 
Congratulation to the two young ladies in their new position.

MBBS/BDS admission date 2015 published

MBBS/BDS ADMISSION DATE - 18 TH SEPTEMBER (FRIDAY)

Medical admission date for the session 2014-15 has been published. The decision come out in a meeting held by Ministry of health and welfare. The additional Secretary Mr. Aiyubur Rahman said," The decision  decided for  taking  the admission test of MBBS/BDS is on 18th September (friday). " The application fees might be 650/= and the test will be in MCQ format. The total number will be 100 and the passing number in written test will be 40.
At present there are 29 public medical colleges which have 3162 seat capacities and 64 private medical colleges  which have 5325 seat capacities in MBBS course.
There are 532 seats for BDS courses in public medical and Dental colleges. At the same time there are 1282 seats for BDS courses in 24 private dental colleges .

Fancy Foods wishes to inform the public that pieces of metal have been found in some jars of Fancy foods chicken Curry (Spicy). The batches of the jars have numbers from J6617 to J6624. The batch number is printed on the bottom of each jars.
If you have any jars with these batch numbers, please return them (preferably unopened) to the supermarket where you purchased them. You can also return them to the factory (Fancy foods retailers, Blacktown). Fancy foods will pay $10 for each jar returned unopened and $5 for each jar already opened.
No payment will be made for empty jars., which do not need to be needed. However, the company's retailing manager will be interested to hear from people who have consumed chicken curry from any of the above batch numbers. In particular, it will be helpful if they can give information about the place of purchase of the product.
REWARD
Fancy foods will pay a reward of $10,000 to $50,000 for information which lead to the conviction of any person found guilty of placing metal pieces in its products. If you have such information, please contact the customer relations manager, Fancy foods, Retilers, Blacktown.

The results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be published simultaneously either on August 8 or 9, 2015.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid ordered the officials concerned to get the summary of the results ready for handing it over to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said an official of education ministry.

ADB-JAPAN Scholarships

ADB-JAPAN SCHOLARSHIPS

Financing from Japan, the ADB-JSP will enroll 300 students for its member countries. The Scholarship will cover in the  postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region. This scholarships Provides full scholarships for one to two years.

 ELEGIBILTY

  1. A national of an ADB borrowing member (applicants from countries that are no longer borrowing from ADB are not eligible for the ADB-JSP). For a list of current developing member countries visit ADB - Japan Scholarship Programme.
  2. Gained admission to an approved masters or doctoral programme at an approved academic institution.
  3. A bachelors degree or its equivalent with superior academic record.
  4. At least two years of full-time professional work experience (acquired after a university degree) at the time of application.
  5. Proficiency in oral and written English communication skills to be able to pursue studies.
  6. Not more than 35 years old at the time of application. In exceptional cases, for programmes which are appropriate for senior officials and managers, the age limit is 45 years.
  7. In good health.
  8. Eligible applicants should agree to return to their home country after completion of studies under the programme.
  9. Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management and staff of ADB, consultants, and relatives of the aforementioned are not eligible for the Scholarship.
  10. Staff of JSP-designated institutions are not eligible to apply to their own institution.
  11. Applicants living or working in a country other than his/her home country are not eligible for scholarships.
  12. ADB-JSP does not support applicants who are already enrolled in graduate degree programs.
  13. ADB-JSP does not sponsor undergraduate studies, distance learning programmes, short-term training, conferences, seminars, thesis writing, and research projects.
