03. What is Newtonian Fluid? ( RPCL-13, AM)

Answer: A fluid whose viscosity does not change with the rate of deformation or shear strain is known as Newtonian fluid.

Answer: The formation, growth and collapse of vapor filled cavities or bubbles in a flowing liquid due to local fall in fluid pressure are called cavitation.

Answer: List of refrigerants are mostly used-

Answer: The thermodynamic system may be defined as a definite area or space where some thermodynamic process takes place. The thermodynamic system may be classified into the following three groups.

o: Closed System

o: Isolated System

11. What is Cetane Number?

Answer: The percentage by volume of cetane in a mixture of cetane & α-methyl naphthalene which has the same ignition delay as the given fuel when tested in a specified test engine under specified condition is as cetane number. e.g. If a fuel has cetane number 45, it means that the fuel is having the same ignition delay as a mixture of 45% cetane and 55% α-methyl naphthalene by volume.

 12. Comparison between petrol Engine and Diesel Engine. (BRTA-12, AD)

BUET VC passes away

Professor Dr. Khaleda Ekram, The first female vice chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) passes away on last night approximately at 3.00 AM. ( Inna lillahi wainna ilahi rajiown). She breathed her last at a hospital in Bankok, capital of Thailand. Professor Ekram was appointed as the vice Chancellor of BUET on September 2014. May Allah keep her soul in peace.

Khaleda Ekram, first female vice chancellor of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), passed away at a hospital in Bangkok last night.

She was taken to a Bangkok Hospital from Square Hospital on late Friday night by an air ambulance for better treatment.

Her condition was deteriorated since Monday as her kidneys and other organs did not work properly. She was kept on life support.

She was also fighting against leukemia and breathed her last in Thailand at around 3:00am on Tuesday.

Professor Khaleda Ekram of the Architecture Department was appointed as the vice chancellor (VC) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology on September 11, 2014.

Khaleda is the first female vice chancellor of Buet and the second female vice chancellor of the country.
