IEEE Signal Processing Cup 2016- BUET the grand prize winner
Its an great news for Bangladesh that the undergraduate students from the Dept. of Electrical & Electronics Engineering have won the IEEE
Signal Processing (SP) Cup 2016.On March 2016 in Shanghai, China the IEEE Signal Processing Cup 2016 Global Competition final competition held at the IEEE
International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing
(ICASSP). Many teams from
around the world participated in the competition and three top teams
were invited to present their work at ICASSP 2016.
The grand prize goes to Team " Resonance_1011 of Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Bangladesh. The Supervisor was Mr. Mohammad Ariful Haque. The
second position was secured by the Purdue, USA team. The team from IIT
and IISc, India became the third. A prize money of 5000 USD will be awarded to the champion team.Congrats the participant for bringing such a glory for us.The details of the competition can be found in:

Rini Eshan Khushboo a
Bangladeshi graduate mechanical engineer who from her childhood cherished a
desire to become someone whom people may call a "Great Robocist". Her
specialty is not making colorful dreams only but also materializing them! She believe
her best quality is that she have the magic to find out the way of solution of
every problem! Because she believe, "Where there is a will, there must be
a way". After completing B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from
Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology she started her
professional life launching Planeter Ltd, the first commercial venture on
Robotics in Bangladesh. Working with Robotics for several years grew her into a
Robo-Freak. On 2013 she visited NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre, Florida, USA leading
a team with her and successfully participated in “4th Annual Lunabotics Mining
Competiton” with a Lunar Excavator Robot. She was featured in BUETech, Deutche
Welle, The daily Prothom Alo, daily Shomokal, daily Ittefaq, Daily Star, Daily
